IN HONOR OF HALLOWEEN, DISNEY INTERACTIVE STUDIOS ANNOUNCES UPCOMING DOWNLOADABLE COSTUME PACKS FOR DISNEY UNIVERSE
Players Can Suit Up with the "Disney Villains Costume Pack" Available November 15; The Jungle Book and The Muppets Costume Pack To Debut in Early 2012
October 31, 2011—Don't be afraid - the antics in Disney Universe are just beginning! The recently released video game from Disney Interactive Studios will be expanding on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system with downloadable content that will provide players with brand new costumes for the game's mischievous cast of characters.
The first release, a "Disney Villains Costume Pack," will be available for download on the Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network and the PlayStation® Network on November 15. The costume pack includes five new character costumes based on Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians), Hades (Hercules), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), The Evil Queen (Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs) and Ursula (The Little Mermaid).
In January, The Jungle Book crew will make their appearance in a costume pack based on the 1967 film from Walt Disney Animation Studios. In March, costumes inspired by Kermit, Miss Piggy and their friends will be introduced with the release of The Muppets costume pack.
Individual costumes for the upcoming "Disney Villains Costume Pack" will be available for download for 99 cents on PlayStation Network or for 80 Microsoft Points on the Xbox LIVE, and the complete package will be available for $2.99 on PlayStation Network or for 240 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE.
Disney Universe offers a four-person multiplayer action experience, with frenzied gameplay that appeals to players of all ages. The game features 45 classic and contemporary iconic character costumes inspired by well-known and legendary properties, such as the Disney•Pixar hits WALL•E and Monsters, Inc., Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Academy Award® winning classics The Lion King and Aladdin.
Disney Universe is now available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the Wii™ system from Nintendo and Windows PC.
